Kris Easler is a freelance illustrator who grew up in a nomadic, naval fashion which resulted in a tendency to live near large bodies of water. Currently she lives in Chicago with her husband and two cats, where she spends her free time reading, drinking tea, playing the ukulele, learning French, and trying to make beautiful and/or edible things.

Selected clients include Bloomsbury Children's Books, Chicago Tribune, Lillstreet Art Center, and 25 30 Espresso; she also has been featured as a Student Illustration winner in Applied Arts Magazine.  She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Concordia University in Nebraska and a Masters in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design.
